Last year, Rumble hit streaming platforms and made waves. I became an instant fan of the track, and ever since, it’s been played during sets, specifically on @boilerroomtv.
Exactly 365 days ago, I posted my own cover design. Since then, I’ve learned a ton, and while I still enjoy what I did, I know that now I can do better.
Here’s my 2024 redesign, keeping with the same idea as last year, featuring the main image, but now using my favorite layout and font for the text. I’m applying the same chrome effect but tweaked some details, and I never did mention what inspired me for the coloring. Have you ever heard of Skepta’s ‘Ignorance is Bliss’? I used some of the colors to create my own heat map-type feel.
Redesigned a 90s hardcore gem from @snapcaseband in my style. Combined elements from their 2017 record store day re-release and online snapshots to craft my unique Lookinglasself design. Keeping it minimal with the cover’s colors and channeling 90s hip-hop aesthetics.
