About JCTOWNSEND
JC is a musician from Vancouver Canada. JC started his musical journey at the age of 9 with the Calgary Boys Choir, where he travelled to the UK and across Canada. In high school he changed direction, joining the Crossover band Vertical Urge (guitar). Heavy music has been JC’s primary musical focus ever since. Additional projects include The Inhalers, Conch, Car 87, Drown In Ashes; JC is currently the vocalist in the Vancouver based hardcore project, Press On. Inspired by his participation in the Rain Coast Choir (and COVID-19), JC has focussed on his solo works (JC Townsend), an Alternative Acoustic project which includes harmonies and varied tunings; accentuating heavier lyrical content. “GhOStS”, JC’s first release, dropped on June 22, 2020 on all platforms. * Limited run cassettes and vinyl NOW AVAILABLE through Bandcamp. “SOLITARY (Covid Covers)” dropped on August 21st on all platforms. JC is the proud father to his 13 year old son, a Social Worker in Vancouver, and partner to an amazing girl.
