Excited to finally design a poster for Cool Hand Luke! Enjoy my take on the cult classic.
Design Breakdown
– Design Breakdown –
I took inspiration from classic movie posters from the 60s and added my own twist to it.
Colours: I used are from the original poster.
Type: I went with an army/crime style to fit the prison/drama theme.
Image composition: I wanted to have the focus on the warden & the group.
Experimented with different layouts for each size and didn’t want to go crazy on texture effects but put a subtle vintage paper overlay to bring it all together
This is apart of my IMDb Top 250 redesign challenge, where I’m designing the top rated movies on the list in my own style to better my skills as a Key Art designer
